Non-objective, geometric painting.

In this series, Double Take 5, I continue my exploration of painted geometric pattern in extended pictorial space. I investigate how paper might become more than a flat surface for the two-dimensional rendering of images.  The paper is painted on both sides and folded to provide a series of visually ambiguous propositions.

These works were part of the 2017 installation Mainly Martha. Working with the usual gris that underlies all my paintings I used thread and canvas to create geometric patterns.
